Insisting on safe sex

By: Julia Jones

The studies have reported that HIV rate is rising among those who make their living through sexual service. Those involved in sex industry should always insist on the use of condoms as their and the customer's life is at stake. The people involved in such practices should keep in mind that they also involve in sex with their wives, husbands girlfriends and boyfriends. There is certainly a risk of spread of sexually transmitted disease as you are involving with multiple sex partners.

Then there is HIV rate increase in teenagers too. The number of adolescence with HIV infection is increasing in America. Information on safe sex through safe sex programs should be given to teenagers. Safe sex education should be encouraged in schools for promoting safe sex among students. They should be imparted knowledge on sex and sex related diseases. Information should be given on safe sex practices to the young teens that are careless about them and have multiple sex partners.

Mostly lesbians are at a low risk of getting HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases yet sex between them is always not safe. It is because some lesbians have unsafe sex with men and they inject drugs and share needles that could cause infection.

Unprotected sex makes you have unplanned children and at the same times puts you at a great risk of getting sexually transmitted diseases. You can still prevent yourself from getting pregnant after a sexual intercourse but it is not possible to cure yourself from the sexually transmitted infections. Insisting on safe sex practices is very important. The use of condoms should be encouraged by the partners. Condoms prevent the sperm from entering the woman's body thus protects the woman from getting pregnant. More importantly it prevents the HIV infection. The male condom is a very old method used as a birth control method. Condoms are more than 80% effective if used properly. Though people find it as a barrier there are now different types of condoms available that gives the wearer a natural feeling. They are available at most of the drug stores. The condom is usually made of latex rubber and some people are sensitive to it. For such people there are condoms made from lamb's intestines. The lubricated latex condoms are best for anal and vaginal intercourse. Lambskin Condoms are not recommended as they do not block HIV and STDs. When you are buying a condom always make sure if the condoms have been tested for higher safety standards.

Whether you are husband wife, girlfriend boyfriend or just strangers insisting on safe sex is essential as it concerns the life of both and also the people related to you. One unprotected act could lead to a series of people getting affected by it from a husband to the wife and from a mother to the baby. Insisting on safe sex and practicing safe sex should be the concern of all as we all want to live in a better and healthier world.
